Take our Gender Equity in the Arts Survey

Data is power. Help us get a comprehensive view on the current state of gender equity & justice in the arts & entertainment industry.

Trigger Warning: the survey asks about discrimination & violence based on marginalized identities. Please read the instructions carefully, which will explain how to hide those questions if you prefer not to see them.

By Women. For Everyone.

SheNYC was founded by a group of women in the entertainment industry who want to make the business more equitable for everyone. Through our theater festivals across the country, educational programs, and networking programs, we’re building a better future for Broadway and the theater industry at large. We support gender-marginalized artists, including women, non-binary, and trans people as they pursue leadership roles in theater.

Who Are We?

We’re a nonprofit that supports women & gender-marginalized artists take on leadership roles in the theater industry.

We produce theater festivals in New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta of full-length plays and musicals, have a program for high school students that trains them for careers as playwrights and producers, and have a number of networking events and special programs throughout the year.
