WE’RE A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT FIGHTS FOR GENDER EQUITY IN THE ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY.
We know that what audiences watch in plays, musicals, films, and TV shows helps mold the way they see the world around them – and we want audiences to see shows by women & femme artists, telling our stories through our lens.
We focus most of our support on the original creators — playwrights, composers, and producers — to get more women, trans, and non-binary people in these roles that decide which stories get told on stage and screen.

SCRIPT SUBMISSIONS FOR THE 2026 FESTIVALS
Will be open from September 30-November 5, 2025!
You can apply to any of our Festivals – SheDFW in Dallas-Fort Worth, SheLA in Los Angeles, SheATL in Atlanta, or SheNYC in New York – all in the same form. On that form, you’ll indicate which cities you’d like to be considered for and what your top choice preference is.

WE’RE THRILLED TO ANNOUNCE THAT CLASSIC STAGE COMPANY HAS WELCOMED US IN TO THEIR 13TH STREET THEATER AFTER OUR CONNELLY THEATER LOSS.
OUR 2025 SHE NYC THEATER FESTIVAL WILL BE ON THE CSC STAGE JULY 14-27!

Proceeds are split between SheNYC and the playwrights in the anthology, so you’re supporting gender equity in the arts AND new playwrights at the same time!
