She NYC Arts and Pathway Pictures Presents
BASED ON THE PLAY BY MARGARET ROSE CATERISANO
DIRECTED BY KIM CAICEDO
In the middle of the night in rural Alabama, a fully naked man stumbles upon the home of Wattle, a shotgun-wielding academic working on her debut novel, and her daughter Sarah.
The man claims he’s been robbed while attempting to walk the length of Highway 29 for reasons that don’t quite add up. As Wattle and Sarah try to figure out where the truth lies in this strange man’s story, they’re concealing a secret of their own.
Inspired by the Lope de Vega play Fuenteovejuna, this shocking and vindictive feminist thriller reveals what happens when an overconfident traveler messes with the wrong women.
It’s a fight for power that will end in either the women killing the patriarchy, or the patriarchy killing them. Either way, it’s going to be bloody.
FEATURE FILM SHOOTING IN MARCH 2025, FOR RELEASE IN SEPTEMBER 2025
Sheepwell is a blend of dark comedy with a Southern Gothic flavor, using wit and tension to explore complex human relationships.
The three main characters constantly shift between the positions of predator and prey. The result is a rich narrative that puts on full display the delicate tightrope that women must walk in society in order to survive.
